Course Content – Level 4 Award in Core of Knowledge for laser and Light                                                 Devices   

What will I learn ?

The aim of this unit is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of the core knowledge required when operating laser and light devices. It covers the core knowledge of laser and light including safety legislation, electromagnetic radiation, and tissue interaction. This unit has been mapped against the MHRA Guidance on the safe use of lasers, intense light source systems and LEDs in medical, surgical, dental, and aesthetic practices.

Exam Process - 

External theory examination The theory examination will be set and marked by VTCT Skills. The theory exam will consist of multiple choice questions. Questions will cover all learning outcomes within the mandatory unit. The pass mark for this examination is 70%. Please note all pass marks are subject to review and revision by VTCT Skills (iTEC). Examinations must be undertaken by learners under controlled examination conditions in accordance with policies and procedures for external assessment.

The Course Includes - 

The course includes theory revision. You will receive full guidance and monitoring throughout your course and after, help will be at hand in and out of CS Beauty Academy.

We aim to cater to your every need during your training experience, big or small– face to face – telephone – email; all you have to do is ask! 

You will be provided with all the necessary equipment for the course including work packs/notes.

Guided Learning Hours - 

This course guided learning hours are set at 5 hours. 

Completion of your Course - 

On successful completion of the course, you will gain VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Core of Knowledge for Laser and Light Devices,  from the awarding body VTCT/ITEC.
