For telephone and website bookings, payment can be made in full or part payment can be made as follows:-

The remaining balance must then be paid 7 days prior to the start date of the course.
 
For NVQ Home Study / Full Time routes, a 25% (min) payment is required to secure a place. The remaining balance can be made in instalments, INTEREST FREE depending upon the chosen course time frame (please contact CS Beauty Academy for more details). Full payment must be made prior to certification given.

Please note if payments are not accurate or made on due dates  - your course will be cancelled and deposits/payments will be lost.

Instalments must be paid via bank transfer only in order they stay interest free payments.

Course payments are non-refundable and not transferable.  Failure to attend a confirmed course will result in the loss of all payments made for that course.
 
In the event of a genuine reason for cancellation (proof of which may be required), a request for transfer will be considered at the discretion of CS Beauty Academy.  If successful, an administration fee of £35 up to £150 per course or per day will be charged.

Once course material has been sent or given no refund is available.

 

Failure to make payments on set instalment dates will invalidate your course dates booked within the diary.  
 
In the event of a genuine reason for late payment (proof of which may be required), a request for proceeding will be considered at the discretion of CS Beauty Academy.  If successful, an administration fee of £25 per late payment will be charged.

 

If you are unable to make the assessment date given to you by CS Beauty Academy, when the Internal Verifier and/or the External Verifier along with the Assessor, will be present, then the next  assessment date will be offered to you if space is permitted. This could be several months later. Therefore you will not be able to gain certification until then. If you unable to make the second assessment date given to you by CS Beauty Academy, when the Internal Verifier and/or External Verifier along with the Assessor will be present, then you will occur a charge of £65.00 to attend the next date.

In the event of a genuine reason for cancellation (proof of which may be required), a request for transfer will be considered at the discretion of CS Beauty Academy.  If successful, an administration fee of £25 will be charged.

Notice Period for Not Attending a Pre-Arranged Practical assessment or Theory Exam 

Theory exams are booked online with VTCT prior to your attendance and practical assessments have been scheduled with the internal verifier, if you are unable to attend with less than 48 hours’ notice or do not turn up on the day, charges will apply.  In the event of a genuine reason for cancellation (proof of which may be required), a request for another date will be given at the discretion of CS Beauty Academy, if successful, an administration fee of £25 up to £65 may be charged. 

Re-sits

In order to pass any theory exam papers you have to gain 70%. If you do not gain a minimum of 70% you will therefore have to re-sit your exam paper.

Re-sitting your theory exam paper fees –

CS Beauty allows all students 2 years to complete their NVQ qualification. However after being offered two practical assessment dates, by the assessor during the 2 year period, CS Beauty will charge a fee of £150.00 for practical assessment to take place. 

In order to prevent any fees, you must - within the 2-year period complete all theory work (portfolio), theory exams and have been practically assessed, although, once you been practical assessed via an External Verifier and or an Internal verifier you have 8 weeks to complete all outstanding work. If you do not make this dead line a charge of £350.00 will be required.

It is the discretion of CS Beauty Academy and the Internal / External Verifier if after the 2 year period has lapsed that a student who has already been practically assessed by an Internal / External Verifier may need to be assessed again, prior to completion of the course. This is due to, not completing all the elements of the NVQ during the two-year period. If the Internal / External Verifier or CS Beauty Academy requires the student to be practically assessed again, an extra fee will be applied of £150.00 plus the above fee of £350.00. 

If you have failed to complete your portfolio or theory exams and not been practically assessed via an Internal and External Verifier and still wish to complete your NVQ and gain certification with CS Beauty Academy, then a fee will be applied for completion after the 2 year period has lapsed of £675.00 -

If any training is needed as a refreshment, a fee per day of £125.00 will be applied.

If you have not been in touch with CS Beauty Academy for 26 months since your start date, then your course is no longer valid and you will have to begin training again and pay the current fees advertised for the NVQ qualification.

Loss / Replacement of any course manual = £15.00 per manual 

Loss / Replacement of any portfolio manual = £20.00 per manual 

All course material can be emailed to students as requested prior to the course start date however you would not receive any material via hard copy during your training if you opt to have your material emailed.

In order to receive material via email prior to your training, all course fees would need to be paid in advance or a large deposit would need to have been paid prior to receiving your course material via email. Once course material has been sent or given, no refunds are available.

CS Beauty Academy replacement certificate = £10.00 per certificate 

Contact VTCT if you need a replacement certificate for your NVQ qualifcation - fees will be applied. 

All students must attend Assessments at CS Beauty Academy in appropriate professional uniform. If you do not have one please wear Black or white trousers and top. Clothing should be comfortable with short sleeves, Jewellery must be removed, so for safekeeping we recommend that you leave jewellery at home.  Hair MUST be secured away from the face. Nails should be short, without varnish or extensions. Shoes must be flat and closed in. Uniforms can be purchased from CS Beauty Academy, prior to your assessment dates, full payment will be requested.
 

* Optional additional units will occur an additional fee for assessments/exam papers etc  (VTCT) please make an enquiry at CS Beauty Academy - (Maximum fee £150.00 per unit applied). 

All courses will go ahead, although if there is only one person on the course you will be required  to bring a model. CS Beauty Academy will try and help with providing a model also.

Our one day courses start promptly at 9.30am and finish at approximately 2.30pm, Evening courses start promptly at 5pm and finish at approximately 9.30pm. Please try to arrive 10 mins before start time. If you arrive late it will be very hard to catch up, you may find your be unable to participate in the training, resulting in the loss of course fees.  Please therefore ensure you allow sufficient time for travelling.

Students are required to bring a packed lunch with them.  Due to the minimum hours allocated to each course, time is precious to teaching. Therefore breaks are kept to a minimum. CS Beauty Academy allows only one 15 mins break and two 5 mins breaks throughout your course. Refreshments and biscuits are provided.

Evening courses have one 10 min break and one 5 min break.

Students must perform a patch test 48 hrs in advanced in order to do the eyebrow, eyelash tinting, eyelash extension courses. This can be done at home, please call for instructions.

All students must attend CS Beauty Academy in appropriate professional uniform. If you do not have one please wear Black or white trousers and top. Clothing should be comfortable with short sleeves or sleeves that can be rolled up and a cardigan is useful.   Jewellery (except wedding rings) must be removed, so for safekeeping we recommend that you leave jewellery at home.  Hair MUST be secured away from the face. Nails should be short, without varnish or extensions. Uniforms can be purchased for you at time of booking your course, full payment will be requested.

Kit prices quoted will be delivered to CS Beauty Academy for pick up via the Student.

Payments must be made in full when ordering. Once full payment has been made, your order will be processed. Pick up will normally be within 2-5 days from payment made.

Machinery and salon equipment (i.e. couches, trolleys etc) will take 1-3 weeks for pick up.

Dermalogica products can be paid for and taken on the same day.

In extreme circumstances it may be necessary to reschedule or cancel a course due to insufficient numbers*/illness** upon which a booking has been made. If the rescheduled dates of the course are not convenient to you liability is limited to a full refund of the course fees paid. CS Beauty Academy reserves the right to alter the course venue and timetable where necessary at any time.

*-    if a model was not found in time via the student or CS Beauty Academy

** - if the teacher was ill and a replacement teacher could not stand in at short notice. If this happened on the morning of the course we are very sorry for the inconvenience and as a gesture of good will, we would offer £15 refund or your full money back. 

Once registered, you have two years to fully complete the NVQ qualification.

CS Beauty Academy reserves the right to decline applications for any reason

CS Academy prides its self on understanding that most people have to juggle family/work/school runs etc!  CS Beauty Academy understands that most people’s phones are their life line between their families needs. This is why at CS Academy we allow phones to be on, but would prefer them to be on silent and vibrate, and if calls are needed to be answered or made please go to a suitable area away from the rest of the students. 

Free parking is available for all students.

In the unlikely event your training course with us does not meet your expectations, please call within 5 days of completing your training.  Problems can usually be resolved immediately, if this is not the case, you may be asked to put your complaint in writing; this should be addressed to the Principal.

It is acknowledged that all intellectual property rights including copyright, patents, design rights and know-how in or relating to the course or course materials provided or made available in connection with the course, remain the sole property of CS Beauty Academy. No copies of course materials other than for personal use (non-commercial use) is authorised unless it has been agreed in writing by CS Beauty Academy. 

All students are required to observe and abide by all policies regarding health, safety, security, student conduct and any other regulations as set out by the training Centre.

Pregnancy - our insurance rules and policy are not to work on pregnant women in the first 12 weeks, if you are in these early stages please let the office know and they will discuss bringing a model with you. Please avoid bringing first trimester pregnant models for courses where these are required.

It is the applicant’s responsibility, having referred to relevant sources of course information, to ensure that the course is suitable for their requirements. CS Beauty Academy are happy to provide advice but accept no liability in the event that the content of the course or any changes to the course timetables, structure or contents does not meet individual requirements. Once a course is booked and a course place allocated, the applicant will be subject to and in agreement with all conditions as set out herein.

Under no circumstances will CS Beauty Academy  be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such losses where foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of www.csbeautyacademy.com regardless of the form of action; (h) loss of money; (i) loss of belongings.

Party payments are non-refundable and not transferable.  Failure to cancel a confirmed party 14 days prior to the event will result in the loss of all payments made.

Any gifts or vouchers purchased from CS Academy/Beauty & Fitness are valid for 12 months of date of purchase. 

CS Beauty does not charge any cancellation fees when booked treatments cant be kept. However CS Beauty would be most grateful if you could contact them either by text, email or telephone just to let them know you will not be able to make your scheduled appointment. You do not have to give any reason why, we would just appreciate you letting us know.

Training will take place using an IPL machine - 

You must have a minimum of 2 weeks hair growth – no shaving or waxing before the course.

As students work on each other whilst attending this course and to ensure you receive a good even tan please ensure you exfoliate before attendance. We also advise you do not to wear any deodorants or perfumes.  Do not wax or tint within 24 hrs of the course and loose dark clothing and flip flops to go home in is ideal.  Avoid wearing your best underwear!  Please bring an umbrella (in case it rains) to avoid being streaky!

It is a legal requirement that you have a patch test 24 - 48 hours before attending the course.  You will be asked to sign a document to prove you have done this and you will only be allowed to attend the course if you have carried out the test.  If you are bringing a model, they will also need to be patch tested. 

If you unable to complete a patch test prior to the course date then a waiver release form will need to be read and signed. 

Lash Tinting: Mix tint and hydrogen peroxide as described on your manufacturers box.  Apply to clean skin behind ear or in the crook of the elbow and leave for 5 minutes.  Wipe off with damp cotton wool, a stain will remain.  A reaction could include itching, redness, swelling, if this occurs you must apply cold water.  Such a reaction will mean you cannot have the treatment done on you.

It is important to know how treatments and massage movements feel and students on all courses are therefore expected to receive treatments as part of their training, using the products available at the school.  The skin-care products have not been tested on animals.  If you require further information about our products please ask.  If you have a Medical Condition which you think may prevent you from having a treatment please let us know prior to your course.  Pregnancy - our insurance rules and policy are not to work on pregnant women in the first 12 weeks, if you are in these early stages please let the office know and they will discuss bringing a model with you. The terms and conditions set out herein are a complete statement of the agreement between the course applicant and CS Beauty Academy and supersede all discussions, correspondence and representations made prior to the date of booking.
